3-year-old drowns in canal near piggery in Ilocos Norte

A three-year-old boy drowned in the canal of a piggery in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, according to the report of GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on "Saksi" Tuesday.

At least 18 hours passed before the remains were found.

According to the initial investigation conducted by the police, the boy was left to the care of an older sibling while their parents were out working.

The canal, which was behind the house of the said family, was not covered.
