57 hogs in Dauis, Bohol test positive for African swine fever

Fifty-seven hogs in Dauis, Bohol were found to have African swine fever.

Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado said the affected hogs were in Barangays Mayacabac, Biking, and Mariveles, according to a report on Unang Balita on Monday.

As a result, authorities temporarily banned the transport to mainland Bohol of live hogs and meat products from Panglao Island where Dauis could be found.

The temporary ban will be in effect until May 18. —KG, GMA Integrated News
