1 dead after car collides with SUV in Ilocos Norte

The driver of a car died after his car collided head on with a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Batac, Ilocos Norte over the weekend.

In a report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on State of the Nation Monday, dashcam and CCTV footage showed  the victim’s vehicle, a vintage Volkswagen Beetle, occupying a portion of the opposite lane of the road when it hit the SUV head on at high speed.

Another SUV behind the car was also damaged by the first SUV that lost control. The resulting collision resulted in heavy damage to all the vehicles in the accident.

The driver of the car was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, both SUV drivers tested positive in an alcohol breath test.

The families of the involved parties are scheduled to settle the matter.—RF, GMA Integrated News
