Grassfire hits foot of Mayon Volcano in Albay

A fire broke out at the base of Mayon Volcano in Albay due to extreme heat on Saturday, according to a 24 Oras Weekend report. 

Aside from grass, crops and trees have also been affected by the fire.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) are now conducting investigations to determine the cause and the extent of the damage of the fire.
