Alleged gang war kills 1, hurts 2 in Liloan, Cebu


Gang war is looked into as a motive in a shooting incident in Liloan town, north Cebu Province, according to the Liloan Police.

Unidentified perpetrators sprayed bullets at a group of youngsters hanging out at a convenience store in Barangay Yati at past 4 a.m. on May 9, 2024.

Three youngsters who were injured in the incident are reportedly from Liloan, ages 18 years old, 17 years old, and 16 years old. The three were rushed to the hospital but the 16-year-old girl expired at past 7 a.m. to two gunshot wounds on her chest.

The victims are alleged members of a gang.

Prior to the incident, they were said to be in Mandaue City attending a fiesta celebration.

Witnesses said that at least five perpetrators fired at the victims and fled separately onboard two motorcycles. GMA Regional TV
