Charges vs. cop in Catherine Camilon case dismissed

The charges against the police officer implicated in the disappearance of beauty pageant contestant Catherine Camilon have been dropped.

According to a 24 Oras report, the regional prosecutor dismissed charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention filed against former Police Major Allan de Castro and his driver-bodyguard Jeffrey Magpantay.

The case against the suspects were reportedly dismissed due to lack of evidence.

Previous police investigations show that Camilon was last seen with de Castro before her disappearance.
