E-bike rider dead after getting hit by truck in Ilocos Sur

An e-bike rider in San Juan, Ilocos Sur died after being hit by an oncoming truck on the road.

According to a 24 Oras report on Thursday, CCTV footage showed the e-bike crossing the road when it was hit by the truck.

The rider was thrown to the ground and was later declared dead due to a severe head injury.

The victim’s family has already lodged a complaint against the truck driver, who said that he wasn’t able to press the brakes because the e-bike suddenly crossed the road. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BM, GMA Integrated News
