Dog hanged from basketball ring, hit repeatedly in Capiz

A dog was hanged from a basketball ring before it was repeatedly hit with a piece of wood in Pilar, Capiz.

According to a report on "Saksi," it was the Sangguniang Kabataan chairman who hit the dog after its owner asked that something be done to it.

The dog was reportedly eating its owner's chickens and other small animals. It was also reportedly posing a danger to other residents.

The brutal killing is now the subject of an investigation.

The SK chairman and the owner have yet to issue a statement as regards the killing. —NB, GMA Integrated News
