UPLB suspends classes on Monday, May 27


The University of the Philippines Los Baños announced it was suspending class on Monday, May 27, 2024 to repair damage caused by Tropical Storm Aghon.

“Due to damages brought about by Typhoon Aghon on campus and other parts of Laguna, classes in UPLB are suspended tomorrow,” the Office of the Chancellor said in a statement shared on its official Facebook page.

UPLB said the cancellation  will allow the school to conduct clearing and repair operations on campus and residences.

“Faculty members shall reschedule exams and other in-person activities accordingly. Thank you and keep safe,” the university said.

State weather bureau PAGASA declared Storm Signal No.2 and Orange Rainfall Warning in the province of Laguna on Sunday.—RF, GMA Integrated News
