Magnitude 5.0 quake hits Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit the East of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental on Saturday afternoon, according to PHIVOLCS.

The quake, which was tectonic in origin, was recorded to have occurred at 1:14 p.m.

The epicenter was at 05.25°N, 126.82°E - 149 km S 60° E of Jose Abad Santos, with a depth of 50 km.

PHIVOLCS said no damage is expected but aftershocks may occur. --VAL, GMA Integrated News
