Man who got his 16-year-old daughter pregnant, nabbed for rape

A 40-year-old man was arrested in Cavinti, Laguna for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter. He also got her pregnant.

According to John Consulta's report on "Saksi," police found and arrested the suspect in an operation following a complaint lodged by the victim.

“Medyo na-challenge kami sa pagaresto sa akusado dahil di namin ito agad mahagilap, pero dahil sa impormasyon na aming nakuha sa impormante, [nakita namin] kung saan nagtatago itong akusado," Cavinti chief of police Police Major Celso Jhune Talampas said.

"Agad akong nagbuo ng tracker team at agad na pinuntahan ang sinasabing pinagtataguan nitong akusado,” he added.

(There was a slight challenge in arresting the accused because we weren’t able to find him right away, but because of information that we have gathered from an informant, where he was hiding. I immediately formed a tracker team and immediately headed towards the place where he was allegedly hiding)

The victim said her father repeatedly raped her until she got pregnant.

She sought help from the relatives of her mother.

“Noong bedridden pa ang kaniyang ina, ito po ay pinagsamantalahan sa kabilang kwarto. At nang namatay ang ina, habang nasa burol, muli itong ginahasa ng kanyang ama," Laguna provincial police director Police Col. Gavin Mel Unos said.

(When her mother was still bedridden, she was raped at the next room. When the mother died, during the funeral, she was raped by her father again. When the daughter got pregnant, the father himself bought the medicine to abort his daughter’s child)
