5-seater plane damaged due to Julian

A five-seater plane was damaged due to strong winds brought by Typhoon Julian in Basco Airport in Batanes, according to GMA Integrated News reporter Jonathan Andal.

"Nakatali pa po 'yan last Friday sa dalawang truck. Sobra talaga ang hangin kagabi at kaninang umaga," Cayco was quoted as saying. 

(It was tied to two trucks last Friday. The wind was really strong last night and this morning.)

The local official earlier said Julian has been heavily felt in the province since Sunday night, prompting many residents to evacuate.

According to state weather bureau PAGASA, Signal No. 4 remains hoisted over Batanes as Julian may intensify into a super typhoon this evening.—Mariel Celine Serquiña/AOL, GMA Integrated News
