NBI seizes P12 million in fake motorcycle parts

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confiscated counterfeit motorcycle parts valued at P12 million during a raid in Balagtas,  Bulacan on December 3.

In a statement released Tuesday, the  NBI said its Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) conducted the operation in collaboration with the Bulacan police.

The raid was prompted by a complaint from an automobile, motorcycle, and power equipment manufacturing company regarding fake products bearing their trademark.

Armed with four search warrants, the authorities targeted a motor parts store in Balagtas, seizing various counterfeit motorcycle parts and accessories. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
