Man killed during bus robbery in Davao del Norte

A man was killed during an alleged robbery inside a bus in Carmen, Davao del Norte on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

According to Carmen Municipal Police Station deputy chief, Captain Dennis Agosto, two armed men shot the 54-year-old victim to death.

Authorities said the victim boarded the bus from a mall in Tagum City going to Davao City while the suspects embarked at Timog Tagum, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the mall.

Upon reaching Barangay Sto. Niño, one of the suspects shot the victim on the head.

The two took the victim's bag and disembarked.

The suspects also took the motorcycle of an alias “Doy” during their escape.

Operatives are pursuing the suspects, as of this writing.—GMA Regional TV News
