Man allegedly beheaded by own son in Tagum City

A man in Tagum City was killed allegedly by his own son on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

The suspect allegedly beheaded and disemboweled his father. He was arrested but refused to speak.

Police said a neighbor noticed a commotion inside the house where the father and son lived.

The neighbor reportedly saw the suspect holding a scythe and he ran to seek help after the suspect allegedly tried to approach him.

When authorities arrived, they saw the suspect beside the victim. Some of his organs were reportedly found near a tree outside the house.

The suspect allegedly threw the victim’s head into the river and the same has not been found, as of this writing.

Authorities recovered from the crime scene the weapons used by the suspect, including a pan that reportedly contained blood.

Authorities are investigating the incident further.

The suspect’s siblings are determined to press charges against him. —GMA Regional TV
