Fire breaks out at warehouse compound in San Pedro, Laguna
A fire hit a warehouse compound in San Pedro, Laguna after midnight on Saturday.
The fire, which started at 12:30 a.m. affected several warehouse buildings at the compound located on Narra Road in Barangay San Antonio.
The fire reached the fourth alarm, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Thick black smoke could be seen coming out of the affected area.
Twenty-four buildings are reportedly located inside the warehouse compound.
According to a 24 Oras Weekend report, the fire also affected four houses that are made of wood and light materials. The initial investigation revealed that there were flammable materials stored in the buildings such as motor oil, lumber, and battery cells.
BFP-Region 4A personnel and fire volunteers from Metro Manila worked together to put out the fire, according to a report by Mao dela Cruz on Dobol B TV.
The BFP said the fire was finally placed under control at 8:15 a.m.

The BFP said no one was hurt in the incident, but the fire caused P500 million in property damage.
