3 killed in road accidents in Iloilo, Cebu

Three persons, including a 12-year-old girl, died in separate traffic accidents in Iloilo City and Cebu. 

In Iloilo City, two people died after their overloaded car collided with a wing van.

In Joseph Morong’s Monday report on “State of the Nation,” the car’s driver and one of the passengers were killed in the incident while six other passengers were brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the wing van, who has yet to release a statement, is under police custody.

In Alcantara, Cebu, a 12-year-old girl was killed after a delivery van hit the motorcycle being driven by her mother.

Investigators said the victim was thrown off the motorcycle and hit her head on the ground.

Her mother was injured.

The driver of the delivery van is under police custody and has asked for forgiveness from the victims’ family. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
