20 students injured as jeep overturns in Kalinga

A jeep carrying students overturned in Balbalan, Kalinga, leaving at least 20 injured, police said.

Authorities reported that the jeep was on its way to drop off the students for drum and lyre competition practice.

When the jeep reached a curved portion of the road in Barangay Balantoy, its brakes reportedly failed.

To avoid a steep cliff on the right, the driver swerved left, causing the vehicle to overturn.
