A training aircraft made an emergency landing in a farmland in Plaridel, Bulacan on Wednesday morning due to engine failure, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.
In a statement, CAAP said the flight instructor and student pilot were unharmed despite the incident.
“The aircraft, a Piper Tomahawk with Tail No. RPC1085 operated by Fliteline Aviation, safely performed a forced landing following an engine failure,” CAAP said.
“Both the flight instructor and student pilot were unharmed and are accounted for. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the engine malfunction,” it added. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA Integrated News
