Portion of Isabela bridge collapses; 6 hospitalized

A portion of the bridge that connects the town of Cabagan to Santa Maria in Isabela province collapsed on Thursday evening.

In a "Saksi" report, the Isabela Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said a part of the bridge gave way after a dump truck passed over it.

Six persons, including a child, were brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the dump truck is missing.

In a social media post, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Cagayan Valley advised motorists to take caution.
