Cebu Pacific flight returns to MCIA after landing gear issue, passengers safe —CAAP

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed that Cebu Pacific Air flight CEB588, which was en route from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) to Manila, experienced a landing gear issue earlier on Saturday.  

The flight, which took off as scheduled, returned to Mactan-Cebu International Airport at approximately 5:30 a.m. after encountering the technical problem.

All passengers and crew members onboard the aircraft are safe, and no injuries were reported, CAAP said. —Sherylin Untalan/KG, GMA Integrated News
