1 killed after fire hits university in Santa Cruz, Laguna

One person was killed after a fire broke out in the campus of the Laguna State Polytechnic University in the town of Santa Cruz on Thursday afternoon.

In a “Saksi” report, video showed students fleeing the campus while others helped extinguish the flames.

The school said the blaze started in one of the laboratories at the College of Arts and Sciences building.

It added they are coordinating with authorities on the investigation.
