Trolley driver nabbed as suspect in killing of 10-year-old in Lupi, CamSur

Authorities arrested a trolley driver in connection with the killing of a 10-year-old girl in Lupi, Camarines Sur.

According to Nico Waje’s “24 Oras Weekend” report on Sunday, authorities found the victim’s body half-naked and with a cracked skull in a dense area in Barangay Tanawan.

According to the police, the victim had joined her grandmother in selling vegetables on Saturday. When she went missing, her grandmother then sought help from barangay officials.

With CCTV backtracking, authorities found that the victim had gone with a trolley driver, whom her family would often hire whenever they sold vegetables.

The police said the suspect initially denied the allegations but eventually admitted and pointed to where he brought the victim.

The suspect also said he hit the victim’s head with a rock. Authorities are investigating if the suspect raped the victim.
