Authorities probe alleged bombing try at Albuera mayoral bet's HQ

Authorities are investigating a reported bombing attempt at the political party campaign headquarters of Albuera, Leyte mayoral candidate Vince Rama, GMA Integrated News' Ian Cruz reported Saturday on Super Radyo dzBB.
According to the report, the caretaker discovered broken jalousie windows Friday morning, along with a bottle containing an alleged fuse.

One of Rama’s supporters expressed relief that no explosion occurred, noting that the headquarters was filled with flammable campaign materials. The incident has been reported to the Leyte police.
Rama is the brother-in-law of Lucy Torres-Gomez, the re-electionist mayor of Ormoc.
Police in both Ormoc and Albuera have heightened security following the recent shooting of another mayoral candidate, Kerwin Espinosa.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said seven policemen from the Ormoc City Police Station have been tagged as persons of interest in the shooting.
Police Colonel Reydante Ariza, head of the Ormoc City Police, has been relieved from his post. — VDV/DM, GMA Integrated News
