7 stabbed to death in Antipolo bakery

Seven people were killed in a stabbing incident inside a bakery in Antipolo City, Rizal, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A) said on Tuesday.
Based on a police report, the suspect entered and stabbed the victims who were sleeping inside the bakery in Barangay Cupang.
The victims were workers in the bakery, according to the police.
Their bodies were discovered around 6 a.m. on Tuesday and the incident was reported to the police at around 8 a.m.
"Upon arrival, seven (7) lifeless male individuals were found inside the bakery... The victims appear to have been attacked while asleep," said the Rizal Police Provincial Office in a statement.
Meanwhile, the suspect is now in the custody of the Antipolo Police and Rizal Police Provincial Office.
"At around 9:00 AM on the same day, the suspect was apprehended at the Base Police, Headquarters Support Service of the Philippine National Police (PNP). He was subjected to standard physical and medical examinations and is currently under police custody," the Rizal Police Provincial Office said.
"The motive behind this heinous crime remains under investigation. Authorities are exploring all possible angles, including the potential involvement of additional suspects," it added. —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
