Ako Bicol tops SWS party-list Albay survey

A recent SWS survey showed Ako Bicol leading in the party-list race in Albay province for Eleksyon 2025.

The survey, conducted from March 29 to April 5, dominated national party-list 4Ps and fellow Bicol-based groups such as Ang Probinsyano and Bicol Saro. It remained as the dominant regional political organization, with significantly higher support across Albay’s three congressional districts.

The survey used face-to-face interviews of 3,370 registered voters in the province of Albay, with 1,065 in District 1, 1,110 in District 2, and 1,195 in District 3.

This gives sampling error margins of ±1.7% for Total Albay Province, ±3.0% for District 1, ±2.9% for District 2, and ±2.8% District 3.

Ako Bicol began as SOS Bicol, which was a rescue and livelihood non-government organization. It became a political party in 2010 and has since consistently secured seats in Congress.

Its current first nominee is Representative Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co, former House appropriations committee chairperson, while former Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr. is the second nominee.

An SWS survey also recently revealed that Lakas-CMD mayoral candidates are leading races in Legazpi City and eight other towns in Albay. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
