2 call center agents mauled by suspects who looked like minors in Iloilo City

Two call center agents were mauled in two separate incidents by suspects who appeared like minors in Iloilo City on Wednesday.

According to the report of GMA Regional TV’s John Sala in “Saksi” on Thursday, the incidents happened in two barangays in Mandurriao.

The first incident happened at past midnight on Wednesday when one of the victims was about to go home.

“I tried to run away but they were still able to catch up on me after kicking my feet. When I fell down, they got my belongings. I saw one of them holding a knife,” the victim “Echo” said.

But just an hour later, another incident was reported on a diversion road in Barangay Bolilao.

The next victim was waiting for a jeepney when a group of men went at him.

“One of them punched me in the head. There were three of them who ganged up on me. I was not able to clearly see their faces because I was protecting mine. I was shocked that my mouth was already bleeding,” said “June.”

Both of the victims said that the suspects seemed like minors.

The police believe that there could only be one gang behind them.

“There’s a possibility that the people who ganged up on our victims are the same individuals or part of the gang that was reported to us by the residents,” said Iloilo City Police Office spokesperson Major Shella Mae Sangrines. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/NB, GMA Integrated News
