Man attacked by crocodile in Zamboanga
A man was attacked by a crocodile at a public park in Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay, according to a "24 Oras" report on Tuesday.
Footage of the incident showed the man being dragged and thrown around by the crocodile inside the park enclosure.
The victim was later released by the crocodile when the owner of the park hit the metal fence of the enclosure to produce loud clanging noise.
He was immediately rescued and given first aid to the wounds on his legs and arms before he was transported to the hospital for further medical aid.
According to police investigation, the victim’s relatives revealed that the victim had mental issues.
The owner of the park has said that he will shoulder the cost of the victim’s medical expenses.
Meanwhile, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Zamboange Peninsula has ordered the temporary closure of the park. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/BAP, GMA Integrated News
