One dead, three injured in fire in Cainta, Rizal

One person died and three were injured in a fire that engulfed a residence in Cainta, Rizal on Sunday.

The fatality was a 48-year-old woman, according to a report by Carlo Mateo on Super Radyo dzBB.

She went back to their burning house on Garnet Street in Green Park Subdivision in Barangay San Isidro to get her laptop on the second floor but was not able to get out anymore.

The victim's mother and sibling sustained first-degree burns while a fireman got injured on the hand.

The fire started at 6:20 a.m., reached the first alarm and was declared put out at 7:02 a.m.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the structural damage is estimated to be more or less worth P1 million.

According to the Cainta BFP, one angle they are looking at is that the fire may have been caused by an electrical appliance.

Senior Fire Inspector Gary Raymond Cantillon, Cainta fire marshal, then reminded the public to be more careful about their electrical appliances so as to avoid fires.

Meanwhile, Philippine National Police Scene of the Crime Operation is set to conduct an investigation on site.
