Complainant vs. Paolo Duterte confirms viral video of alleged incident

The man who filed complaints for alleged physical injuries and grave threats against Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte said that it was he and the congressman in the alleged video of the incident that has since gone viral.

According to Emil Sumangil's exclusive report on "24 Oras," Kristone John Patria Sion said he submitted the video to the Department of Justice but denied that he was the source of the videos that have been posted online.

“Dami yung nag-a-ano sa akin sa Facebook, gusto ko i-clear na yung video, hindi planted or AI,” Sion said.

(A lot of people are asking me on Facebook. I just want to make it clear that the video was not planted or artificial intelligence.)

The video showed a man in a polo shirt pointing to a man who had a cap on. The footage later showed the man in the polo shirt holding a knife, headbutting the man with the cap, and punching him on the side.

Sion is currently under the Philippine National Police's custody.

He admitted that he brought women to clients.

Sion said that on February 22, a contact asked him to bring women for guests, which included Duterte. He said he complied with the order.

After meeting Duterte, the group went to a bar past 1 a.m. on February 23.

Sion said Duterte’s attitude changed when he found out that not all his friends were given a partner.

Duterte then got annoyed after there was an issue with the payment and confronted Sion.

Sion said it took him a long time to surface because he had to gather evidence.

He said the timing of the filing of the complaint against Duterte weeks before the elections was only a coincidence.

Sion said he filed the complaint on his own.
