Counting machine in Marawi damaged after poll watcher doused water on it

An automated counting machine was damaged after a poll watcher doused water on the equipment in a polling precinct in Marawi City on Monday morning amid election 2025.

According to a report of GMA Integrated News’ Chino Gaston, Marawi City Police personnel responded to the area but the poll watcher had already fled.

A technician from the Commission on Elections said the ACM was damaged.

The ACM was assigned at the four combined polling precincts for Marawi siege evacuees in Barangay West Marinaut and Barangay Sagonsongan.

The casting of ballots was paused for minutes before the replacement for the damaged counting machine arrived in the area.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA Integrated News
