Gloria Arroyo casts vote in Lubao

LUBAO, Pampanga — Former President and now Pampanga 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo cast her vote on Monday morning at the Lubao Central Elementary School, accompanied by her husband, former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo.

The 78-year-old lawmaker, who is seeking reelection, is running unopposed in the 2025 midterm elections.

If elected, this will mark her second consecutive term as district representative after returning to Congress in 2022.

Arroyo previously served as House Speaker and President of the Philippines from 2001 to 2010.

Despite decades in public service, Arroyo remains a prominent political figure in Pampanga.

Meanwhile, the voting situation across the province has been reported as generally smooth, with local authorities ensuring orderly conduct at polling precincts. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
