Mayor Vilma Caluag secures re-election in San Fernando, Pampanga

Mayor Vilma Caluag has secured a sweeping re-election victory in the 2025 local polls, winning by a wide margin and leading her entire Laban San Fernando team to a 12-0 finish.

Caluag was officially proclaimed early Tuesday, May 13, at Heroes Hall by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) City Board of Canvassers. She received 127,124 votes, far ahead of rival Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, who garnered 49,061.

Vice mayoral candidate Brenz Gonzales also won convincingly with 128,191 votes, defeating BJ Tiger Lagman, who obtained 43,230.

Joining them in victory are councilors Noel Tulabut, G4 David, Harvey Quiwa, Tino Dizon, Ate Kay Pineda, Angelo Hizon Jr., Jay Cuyugan, Mark Joseph Carreon, Jayson Sicat, and Elmer Bengco—all from Caluag’s ticket.

Caluag first won the mayorship in 2022 and has since been recognized for her administration's focus on health, social services, and inclusive governance. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
