Fire breaks out in the town of Tuy in Batangas

A large fire broke out in the town of Tuy in Batangas on Friday, according to a report by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO).

The fire occurred in Barangay Guinhawa and was initially responded to by the Bureau of Fire Protection, MDRRMO Tuy and MDRRMO Nasugbu.

As of a report at 2 p.m., the operations to put out and prevent the spread of the dire was still ongoing.

There were also no reports of casualties or injuries, area affected and damage to property as of posting time.

“Paalala sa lahat ng residente sa mga karatig na lugar: Maging alerto at handa sa posibleng paglikas. Iwasan ang paglapit sa lugar ng insidente upang hindi makasagabal sa operasyon,” the statement read. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/BAP, GMA Integrated News
