Comelec begins releasing honoraria for poll workers in Davao City

The Commission on Elections (Comelec)-Davao City 3rd District has started releasing the honoraria for members of the electoral board in the May 12, 2025 midterm elections.

Electoral board chairpersons are entitled to receive P12,000 while poll clerks, third members, and Department of Education supervising officials (DESO) will each receive P11,000.

Technicians will get P9,000 and support staff will receive P8,000.

However, the total amount received is subject to a 15 percent tax deduction.

Despite this, the honoraria have increased by P2,000 compared to the previous elections.

According to some teachers, the earlier release of their honoraria this year is a major improvement compared to past elections.

Comelec reminded its election officers that honoraria must be released within 15 days after the election.

Comelec-11 also extended its gratitude to the personnel of the Department of Education for their service during the election.

“Kami nagapasalamat gyud og dako sa atoang mga teachers sa ilahang mga gikuan gyud nila ilang responsibility nga mahapsay ang atoang elections,” Comelec-11 Assistant Regional Director, Atty. Gay Enumerables, said. — GMA Regional TV News
