Show cause order issued vs truck owner in Atimonan, Quezon collision

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show cause order against the truck owner in the fatal multiple-vehicle collision in Atimonan, Quezon, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Sunday.

LTO reported that the truck driver died after he lost control along Maharlika Highway and collided with two other trucks on Friday.

In Jonathan Andal’s “24 Oras Weekend” report on Saturday, the truck driver was seen stuck in a shattered window of the vehicle before rescuers responded to the incident.

Five other people were injured and were brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

The truck was going to Bicol, while the other two were going to Manila.

The incident caused heavy traffic.
