1 dead, 17 hurt after jeep flips over in Pagbilao, Quezon

A woman died while 17 others were injured after a passenger jeepney flipped over Tuesday in Barangay Silangan Malicboy in Pagbilao, Quezon.

According to a report by GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño on Super Radyo dzBB, the Pagbilao Police said the jeepney was on its way from Tagkawayan to Sariaya when it crashed into barriers along the highway, causing it to turn upside down.

The lone fatality was a female passenger who was thrown out of the jeepney due to the impact of the crash. She was then hit by an oncoming truck that ultimately caused her death.

Authorities are now looking for the truck driver and an investigation is currently ongoing. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
