A rider died after his motorcycle crashed into a cement mixer at a construction area in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte while three women were hurt after a car crashed into a roadside stall in Antipolo City, Rizal.

In EJ Gomez’s Wednesday report on “Saksi,” the man was thrown off from his motorcycle as a result of the impact.

First responders brought him to a hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, three women were injured after a sport utility vehicle (SUV) crashed into them in Barangay San Luis, Antipolo City in Rizal.

One victim sustained a laceration on her forehead and scratches on her shoulder, legs, and feet. Another victim was injured on both legs.

According to police investigation, the 39-year-old SUV driver fell asleep while driving, causing him to hit a roadside stall where the victims were congregated.

The driver was allegedly tired after taking care of his wife, who was confined in a hospital.

He surrendered to police but was later released after settling with the family of the victims.

The driver promised to shoulder the medical bills of the victims and the repair of the damaged stall.
