Baby crocodile found crossing street in Puerto Princesa City

A young saltwater crocodile was found by patrolling barangay marshals crossing a street in a residential area in Barangay San Jose, Puerto Princesa City.

According to Super Radyo Palawan’s Wilmar Abrea on Friday, the reptile is estimated to be around one and a half months old.

Barangay officials and the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development were puzzled about how the baby crocodile found its way to the residential area.

The barangay has already conducted an investigation, however, no one from the residents in the area is taking care of a crocodile.

The crocodile, which measures 2.5 feet, was already turned over to the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Preservation Center. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
