9 sacks of illegal drugs found floating in waters off Zambales

A fisherman found 9 sacks containing alleged illegal drugs floating in the waters off Zambales.

In a “Saksi” report on Monday, the fisherman brought the illegal drugs to a barge in Barangay Sisiman in Mariveles, Bataan before informing the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Upon retrieving it, a PCG K-9 unit confirmed that the sacks contained illegal drugs.

The PCG is coordinating with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for the turnover procedure. Authorities have yet to determine the value of the illegal drugs. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP, GMA Integrated News
