1 Pinoy, 1 Chinese arrested in drug buy-bust in Plaridel, Bulacan

Two men — one Filipino and one Chinese national — were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Plaridel, Bulacan, the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) said.

The buy-bust operation was conducted in Barangay Bulihan, according to a report by Olan Bola on Super Radyo dzBB.

Police said more than 100 kilos of illegal drugs estimated to be worth more than P700 million were confiscated from the suspects.

The illegal drugs are suspected to be shabu and possibly cocaine.

The PNP DEG said they are investigating if the incident is connected to the floating shabu recovered in the waters of Zambales and Ilocos.

The suspects will face charges of violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —KG, GMA Integrated News
