Ambuklao Dam gate open to release water, PAGASA says


One gate of Ambuklao Dam in Benguet was open on Saturday morning to release water, data from PAGASA-Flood Forecasting and Warning Section showed.

At 8 a.m., one gate was open at 0.3 meters, according to PAGASA-FFWS data.

The dam's reservoir water level (RWL) was at 751.61 meters on Saturday morning, which is near the 752-meter spilling level.

Saturday's level is lower than the 751.73-meter RWL on Friday morning.

PAGASA said the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies and rains on Saturday.

Meanwhile the trough of Tropical Storm Bising (international name: Danas) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Batanes and the Babuyan Islands. —KG, GMA Integrated News
