Three dead in fire in residential area in San Mateo, Rizal
Three people died in a fire that broke out in a residential area in San Mateo, Rizal early Sunday.
The fire affected a house in Barangay Ampid 1, according to a report by Olan Bola on Super Radyo dzBB.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire started at almost 2 a.m. The BFP then raised the first alarm.
At 2:59 a.m.., the BFP declared fire out.
The BFP is still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and estimated cost of damage.
The fatalities were a 60-year-old woman, her 30-year-old daughter, as well as the 28-year-old husband of her daughter, according to a report by GMA Integrated News reporter EJ Gomez.
One person was injured, the 64-year-old husband of the victim.
The injured victim jumped out of the burning two-storey home and suffered first-degree burns. He is recuperating at a hospital.
