1 dead, 4 hurt after 2 trucks collide in Quezon

One person died while four others were injured after two trucks collided in Tagkawayan, Quezon Province on Tuesday evening.

According to the exclusive report of GMA Regional TV’s CJ Torrida in “Saksi” on Wednesday, the driver of a boom truck lost control of his vehicle, causing it to crash into an incoming 10-wheeler truck along a downhill portion of Quirino Highway. 

The boom truck driver died on the spot.

Meanwhile, rescuers experienced a difficult time rescuing the driver of the 10-wheeler truck and his assistant fro the wreckage of his own vehicle. 

Authorities said that prior to the accident, the boom truck initially hit a motorcycle. The motorcycle rider and his passenger are both in critical condition, the report said. 

It took almost four hours before authorities were able to tow away the heavily damaged trucks.
