The body of the slain Transportation Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) driver in Parañaque City was found in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija on Friday.

Personnel from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) located Raymond Cabrera’s remains after the suspects pointed them to the site, GMA Integrated News’ John Consulta reported on Super Radyo dzBB.

His remains were found under bushes near a stone marker beside a road in Barangay Batitang.

The three suspects behind the murder and robbery of the TNVS surrendered to authorities on Monday.

On May 18, the suspects were picked up by the victim in Parañaque City. The car didn't reach its destination in Molino, Cavite and instead was driven around the province.

Audio from the car's dashcam indicated that Cabrera was no longer driving the car. It can also be heard from the audio that he was being stabbed.

The NBI retrieved CCTV footage showing two of the suspects disembarking the stolen vehicle in the afternoon of May 18 in Valenzuela City.

The victim’s son earlier said their family wants to find his body to give him a proper burial.

Lavin said a team from the NBI is escorting the victim’s wife to identify the body.

“Kasi kailangan muna ito ma-identify. We may be led by the suspects of another remains. It is important,” he said.

(Because this needs to be identified first. We may be led by the suspects to another set of remains. It is important.)

Meanwhile, he said that finding the body does not mean the case is closed already.

“We do not close cases. We solve cases at the NBI,” he said.
