Woman dies in motorcycle-truck incident in Cebu

A truck allegedly sideswiped a motorcycle, killing a backrider in Mandaue City in Cebu, according to a report on GMA Integrated News’ Unang Balita on Wednesday.

The Mandaue traffic police said the motorcycle fell over and was stuck under the truck.

The motorcycle driver was seen in a video trying to rescue his backrider and asking the truck driver to back up the vehicle. Some motorists also helped the victim. 

The woman was brought to a hospital, but she passed away later on.

According to the report, the truck was impounded while its driver was in custody of the Mandaue traffic police.
