Elderly couple killed after being stabbed by son-in-law in Guimaras

An elderly couple was stabbed by their own son-in-law in San Lorenzo, Guimaras.

According to Danessa Estante of Super Radyo Iloilo, San Lorenzo police said the couple were against the suspect bringing his new partner to the home he once shared with his late wife.

Police said the suspect lived in the same compound as the victims.

Investigation showed that the suspect was intoxicated when a heated argument broke out. The situation escalated, and he allegedly grabbed a knife and repeatedly stabbed the elderly couple.

The 68-year-old woman sustained 12 stab wounds, while her husband, also 68 years old, suffered four. 

The suspect is now in the custody of the San Lorenzo Municipal Police and is facing charges of double murder and two counts of attempted homicide.—Sherylin Untalan/AOL, GMA Integrated News
