1 dead, 9 hurt after jeepney hits vehicles in Antipolo City 

A pedestrian was killed while nine other people were injured after a passenger jeepney struck at least two vehicles along a portion of Marcos Highway in Barangay Inarawan in Antipolo City on Wednesday morning. 

According to a report in “Saksi,” the incident occurred at around 5 a.m. The jeepney supposedly lost its brakes and hit two vehicles, which led to the death of a pedestrian who was just waiting for a ride.

The injured individuals include another pedestrian and the seven passengers of the involved vehicles. 

The jeepney driver is now detained, the report said. 

Meanwhile, the jeepney operator said that it will shoulder the hospitalization of the victims and the repair of the damaged vehicles. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BM, GMA Integrated News
