Binga Dam gate open amid rains from Crising

One gate of Binga Dam in Benguet was opened on Saturday morning amid heavy rains from Tropical Storm Crising.

Binga Dam's gate was open at 0.5 meters or 91.64 cms to release water, data from PAGASA showed.

As of 8 a.m. on Saturday, the water level at the dam's reservoir was at 573.05 meters, near the 575-meter spilling level.

The northern portion of Benguet (Bakun, Mankayan, Buguias, Kibungan, Kabayan, Atok, Kapangan) was placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 on Saturday morning due to Crising, PAGASA said.
