Churches, groups start relief operations, call for donations for flood victims


The Santisima Trinidad Parish in Malolos, Bulacan, church-based and civilian organizations have started preparing relief goods for victims of the onslaught of Tropical Storm Crising and Habagat.

"Relief Operation, Patuloy na inihahanda ng Parokya ng Santisima Trinidad sa Malolos, Bulacan para sa mga Nasalanta ng Bagyo at Habagat," according to the statement posted by the parish.

"Samantala, manatiling nakatutok dito sa Ang Sandigan para sa ibang mga balitang Simbahan kaugnay ng Bagyo at #HabagatPH. Mag-ingat po tayong lahat at manalangin para sa kaligtasan ng lahat laban sa masamang panahon.," they added.

Meanwhile, Baclaran church has announced that donations are accepted, hot meals, and temporary lodging for those seeking shelter are available. 

"Ang Baclaran Church ay bukas sa mga pamilya at indibidwal na apektado ng pagbaha at naghahanap ng pansamantalang kanlungan," the church announced.

(Baclaran Church is open to families and individuals affected by the flooding and seeking temporary shelter.)

"Ang Perpetual Help Kitchen ay naghahanda rin ng mga hot meals. Anumang donasyon ay magulod din naming tatanggapin.)

Adamson University has posted that donations in cash and in kind.

"Klasmeyts, let’s unite and help our kababayans affected by Typhoon Crising and Habagat. We’re accepting both cash and in-kind donations —a small act of kindness goes a long way."

The Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. with the Ateneo Disaster Response and Management (DReAM) Team are preparing meals in response to the call of LGU Marikina to support evacuees affected by recent flooding.

"Today, July 22, 2025, we served hot meals to 1,500 evacuees, made possible through the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers and mission partners, and the invaluable kitchen support from Iggy’s Canteen," the Foundation said in a statement.

"We continue to appeal for your kind assistance so we can extend help to more evacuees in other affected areas. Your support brings nourishment, comfort, and hope to those in crisis."

Caritas Manila, the charity organization of the Archdiocese of Manila, are preparing food packs for affected families.

"Sa tulong ng mga volunteers, inihahanda ng Caritas Manila ang mga food bags na ipamamahagi sa mga nasasalanta ng pagbaha dulot ng ulang dala ng habagat."
